I had the same issue as the previous post at first when making the pickles. However, I realized that you really have to jam as many veggies as possible into the gallon jar. Fill the jar to the rim that the veggies are so tight that there's little wiggle room. Being that the jar is filled with so much volume, the liquid should fall into place and almost fill the jar. The brine still didn't go all the way to the top, so after a few days I gave the jar a good stir so each veggie gets marinated.

I am wondering if anyone else had too much veggies that the liquid did NOT cover them. I measured out the veggies 2x and they still are not covered by the liquid. Any advice?

I made these pickles to be ready for our 4th of July weekend at the lake. They were great! My whole family loved them! Can't wait to make more! I sliced the cucumbers and added slices of red peppers. I have been wanting to make pickles for a long time and so glad I found this mix. Thank you!!
